I got the ARB OBA mounted on a custom made Relentless Fabrications bracket under the hood (still need to wire it) & the holes drilled for the ARB Safari AirMax Snorkel.
Got an email saying my CoverKing Cordura Ballistic Seat Covers shipped.

    @4Wheelin4Banger

Any rubbing with those BFG KM2's? I will be running 16" TRD PRO wheels (16x7, +13mm) which are very close to the wheels you have (16x7, +15mm) so I’m just trying to confirm no issues with tires. Thanks!

    Hi Randy,
I have ‘16 accesscab w/2.7L 2TR-FE and am waiting for “Gadgets Crew” to finish the brackets for the 16+ MK3 kit.
Am very interested in your take on the install and “user tuning” and performance of the URD S/C mod.

I'm getting the truck ready for a (as currently planned) almost 9K mile trip around the country later this year as kind of a test run for some future overland trips.
Of the 20 currently planned stops, 8 will be just parking for the night(s) & sleeping in the back stops & the other 12 will be family or friends.
No firm plans anywhere yet, but I'm thinking this will be a month or longer trip.
I've already downsized the tires to Pathfinder AT (Hankook now makes the Dynapro ATM only for Discount Tire) 265/75R16s (+1") mounted on 2nd Gen TRD OR wheels.
I still have the BFG KM2 255/85R16s (+3") mounted on 1st Gen TRD OR wheels for when I go off road

I went with the Dobinsons for several reasons.
    Great reviews https://www.bestrefrigeratorcentral.com/auto-refrigerator-newest-rugged-12v-portable-fridge-freezer/
Danfoss compressor (ARB stopped using them)
Dual zones means 25L & 55L can both be fridge, or freezer, or one of each.
    Smaller footprint (for 2qt larger)
    Costs less

The battery & inverter/charger are installed along with some of my sleeping platform/storage.
Fridge/freezer will be here next week & I need to know exactly where it's going before I finish the platform.

A couple of days after ordering from URD I got a killer deal on a Rubicon trailer with RTT.
    20180518_085133.jpg
After towing the trailer up the hills & mountains around here (NW Nevada by Reno & Lake Tahoe) I knew I needed the upgrades on the way. I love the set-up. I liked the Idea of the RTT, but didn’t want to have to take off shell & mount bed racks to use it. I don’t know if my shell would hold it (and didn’t care since it barely fits in the garage now & wouldn’t if I had racks to mount RTT on).
    In 5 minutes I’m setup.
Since my wife of 32 years passed in February I got a dog & more into my Taco & camping.
    Buddy like my Taco
    IMG_20180323_105559_2.jpg
This is a great set-up & I’m I the process of setting up the back so I can easily access my camping stuff.
    20180527_131511.jpg 20180527_192955.jpg 20180607_181934.jpg 20180803_161143.jpg 20180803_161300.jpg 20180808_104356.jpg
The front of my bed already has a 200aH gel battery & 2KW inverter/solar charger. I still need to mount & connect my 2 100W solar panels.
After that comes a 5’ pull out that will hold 1st my Dometic CFX75DZW then there will be a set of pull out shelves that will hold my pizza oven, gas grill, & 22” Blackstone griddle. I’m not sure about Blackstone & grill but I know my Uuni pizza oven will be screwed to the plywood since the drawer guide will slide all the way out & off. Then I can just carry it to a table & fire it up. I'm not sure yet how much extra space after that for assorted shit, but on top of it all will be quick fists that will hold the frame of my 9' inflatable pontoon boat & 55lb thrust trolling motor. I got the boat & a trolling motor because Buddy loves to swim & play in the water so much & it would be easy to pack.Screenshot_13.jpg Screenshot_15.jpg

And now for what we've all been waiting for.
    Here's how to get more horsepower & torque from a 2nd Gen 4Banger than a stock 2nd Gen V6
Well they dyno'd it before for a baseline 130HP with larger than stock tires (265/75/16s vs stock 4Banger size 245/75/16s)
    After adding
    URD Mk3 Supercharger kit for 05-15 Tacoma 2.7L 2TR-FE 4 Cylinder
URD 2TR-FE Stage 1 to Stage 2 Supercharger Upgrade
    LCE Header (a long-tube header in a short-tube package)
    Short throw shifter
    Upgraded clutch
    Magnaflow cat back
    TacoDyno.jpg
I now have almost double the horses with 245HP. :burnrubber:

What clutch did you end up going with? And any improvement in gas milage?

I probably should be thinking about just trading my 4cyl truck for a 6cyl truck, but don’t want to deal with the baggage behind a used one and can’t justify new.

Was it cheap? Fuck No :spending::spending:
Am I glad I did it? Hell Yes
In less than 72 hours I put over 550 mile on it just driving around because it's so much fun to drive on road now.
    Saturday it's hitting the dirt
I'd like to than Ozzie @SLVRNBLK for inspiring me with your supercharged Street Taco & I know what you mean. It IS a new truck.
    Your Taco now has a 4x4 Brother with 245.28 HP & 228.87 Ft/Lbs
And thank you @Gadget@URD for your part in these fine upgrades & for helping my mechanic figure out where he fucked up.
And to all the V6 owners that look down on the 4Bangers :brianr: I got more power than you.

Not sure, when I find the paperwork it might tell me.
I don't know & at this point I don't care I'm having too much fun hot rodding it. People have said +1 or 2
Why when you got a 4Banger you like that could :spending: have more power than a V6

The only time I need more power is when I’m trying to do 75 with a sailboat behind me and I’m sure that’ll be more difft when I add bigger tires.

A friend of mine super charged his V6 and said and it started eating clutches, so I’m definitely curious about the clutch after seeing the size difference between the two.

Well you're putting a lot more torque to it so it needs to be an upgraded clutch. Stock just wasn't made for supercharger power
