yes, I used the original bolts. The bolts that come with the shims are smaller and the head is smaller than the axle perch holes. That's why I had to drill the hole bigger in the shims. I think they are just a generic part ment to fit a bunch of different trucks

The dakar center pins are a perfect fit for the axle perches

Pics of my old shims. I don't know where the other one went but it looked the exact same. They are where able to slide in and not bolt to the leaf pack.

Like I said though I beat the crap out of my truck. If your just driving on the street the slide in ones would be fine.

Great info and pics - thanks a bunch. I don’t intend to play very rough with my truck but it will see trails and be carrying precious cargo. I never liked the looks of those slide in shims anyway. Seemed like a problem waiting to happen.

Alright so I’ll figure out what angle I need and order some up. Hopefully I don’t cause any problems running with this slight vibe for a few more weeks while I carve out time to do it.

Can it be done pretty easily without pulling the springs? Just jack the truck up at the frame, clamp the springs, pull the ubolts, then center bolt, add in the shims and throw it back together I’m hoping.

yep that's the process except I would pull the ubolts before you jack it up

Haha. Thanks, yea that makes sense. Hopefully I would’ve figured that out along the way!
