I was going to say--my F150's MSRP was about that and it gets better mileage--and I am not paying diesel prices every time I fill up.

Bet you end up paying all of that on that truck too, whereas I paid about $10k under sticker.

I was wandering around the dealer's lot looking at the 2018s while they did the 10k ToyotaCare. The prices were up there. One was a loaded SR5 for something like $36k?

I'm still happy that I paid right around what you did. Pricey, but still less than the average.

The ZR2 has some impressive features. If anything, it at least keeps Toyota from being complacent.

Complacency is one of the things Toyota does best. I think you will need to see an even bigger resurgence of mid size trucks before that happens.

Toyota prides itself on the "if it ain't broke don't fix it" mentality. The only reason we got a new engine was so they could comply with EPA requirements and the interior was looking pretty dated.

Toyota waits for other manufacturers to bring things to market and make them reliable before they try their hand in it.

Everyone is going to hate me when I say I paid $35,600 for my TRD OR with sunroof and heated seats in silver out the door
