    Indeed it is. Once you get your license you can change it from a standard issue (ie KG5ONJ) to a vanity callsign. Then its 50 cents to get your license plates swapped out (seriously). Can always get cert now and then build a setup later, lasts 5 years I believe. Edit: 10 years

    The test is changing. If you applied yourself you could be ready to take the test and pass by the May 19th testing date in Austin if you wanted to be.
