The shop told me that with my icon stage 5 the toyo 285/70/17 by 9 inch rim (5.0 offset) would not rub on my 2018 try off-road. After trimming the left body mount and three alignments it still rubs under light four wheeling. They want to trim more off the body mount. I told them that a 16 inch rim with like a 285/75/16 might be better.

Can a 285/70/17 not rub? Any suggestions? I really don’t want to trim the pinch weld.
    Thanks,

    John

I don’t rub on a 3 inch lift with some minor caster adjustments

Its hit or miss. I run with 285 70 17 but not after a CMC.

What's your back spacing? You said offset but do you mean back spacing. At 5" back you're definitely going to be far out so rubbing worse.

Don't cut the pinch weld just take a hammer to it and have it bend to one side
This is mine I don't rub on body mount but keep hitting fender liner so I've cut much of it out. Almost clear now but also going to lift more .

I'm about 2.25" lift now from the dual battery sagging the front need some more. I've since cut the liner more from this pic. But think I'm finally fucking clear.

3.6 caster was the best I could get. Need more lift
