    I don't normally air out personal stuff in any online setting, but I know many of you are dog people and I've met many of you and talked about dogs so here goes.........

    I lost my best friend, my hunting partner, my protector of the house, my "furry daughter" this past Friday May 11th. Theia (THEE-A) was an 11 year old Catahoula who lost her battle with lymphoma. To date this was the greatest dog I have ever owned. She had a natural instinct to hunt, to protect and to be loyal me and my wife. She went everywhere with us on our adventures across this country. She was the sweetest dog to people (dogs not so much) and was a favorite at our vet office. She survived being hit by a truck, two (2) knee surgeries (TPLO's), two (2) surgeries to remove tumors and to top it off a rattle snake bite last year. She was an awesome dog and she is missed dearly.

    The only bad thing about living with a dog is when you are no longer living with that dog. 4 of the 7 Dalmatians I have shared my life with are here in my office, and also physically; with their ashes resting on the bookcase. So yeah, it ain't easy, but you gave Theia a fantastic life, and that is all a dog ever wants out of life.
