My climbing wall and wife's car are in the garage so my 18 Sport is outside. Been using Maguire's spray wax but it's impossible to keep from the sun's effects.
Getting a shell Friday so even a 1/2 cover would work.

Sorry I don't have one. I was looking for some covered parking too but thinking I'm just going to build the garage I really want.

    They look cool though.

The canopy ones from Home depot look super cheap compared to this option

I use this on my SB Double Cab with cap and fits like a glove (both with and without the Prinsu racks on): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00TO4MW2W/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This picture below is without the Prinsu racks on. The cover tightens up a bit more now that the rack is on. I don't have a pic with the cover on with the rack. So long as you fold and roll the cover off nicely, it goes on and off in less than 3 mins.

On my old truck I was able to use a kia sportage car cover that would fit the cab of the truck. I use a 'wolf' cover on a couple vehicles that sit inside and am happy with it. If you are in a 'hail' state you can keep some carpet pads around and roll it up over the truck and then put the car cover over it. I used to do that a lot for a vehicle that would sit outside. Kind of heavy when you have to remove stuff but liked the added protection.

I would check craigslist possibly for maybe someone might be selling one. Even if it isn't a TACOMA

Get a professional ceramic coating. Imo, it was the best thing i had done to my tacoma. It sits outside 24/7 in all sorts of weather. The sun can get pretty brutal in the summer, plus the birds poop, and tree sap don't help either.

Car / truck covers have two serious downsides:
    1. They trap condensation. Whatever is under the cover has a perpetual humid environment.
    2. The wind, etc., causes the cover to rub against the surface of the vehicle. If dust gets blown in there, it makes the abrasion worse.

The combination of (1) and (2) will eventually ruin your paint.

My mother used to leave her car under a cover for months on end. The results were not pretty.

I was gonna chime in and say the same thing. I had a black corvette that sat outside for three months out here in the desert. Bought a top of the line form fitted cover with locking cables and everything. When I pulled the cover off I almost had a heart attack. Sanded right into the paint, all the way around the car. Had to spend hours buffing it out with an orbital. Thankfully it all pretty much came out, probably because I had a good coat of wax on there.

If I had to do it over again, I would skip the cover and wash/wax it more often. Ceramic coat even better

I'm on team no-cover. I've never had good results with them.

It's a Tacoma. Park it on the climbing wall. :cookiemonster:

It was around $600 done at the toyota dealer where i bought the truck. Imo, it was some of the best money spent. I haven't even washed the truck in over 2 years. After a rain storm the finish beads up like its freshly waxed. No paint chips either like i use to get on my older tundra that didn't have this coating at the time.
