    Hi gang,

I'm stuck trying to figure out a safe path to run the wiring (for my 5 roof rack mounted lights) into the engine bay. I'm hoping you fine folks can help me.

    My current problem
I'll get right to the point - I'm not sure how to complete my wire run between the rear side of the driver side wheel well and up to the driver side engine bay, without getting too close to the exhaust or in the way of the driver side IFS and wheel assembly.

Friend and I tried to complete this last night but ran out of daylight (and patience)

    Driver side and rear lighting
2 lights on driver side and 1 rear, all roof rack mounted. I chose to zip-tie join all of the wire runs between cab and truck canopy, and then down to the driver side undercarriage. From there, I've attached the run to the topside of rock sliders next to where they bolt to the frame. I continue this path until I get to the driver side IFS assembly and wheel well.

How do I get around the IFS and wheel well assembly?

I see a glimpse of a large OEM wire run which seems to come out of the top of the frame but it vanishes (maybe it was the light and shadows playing tricks on me). I was hoping to just trace that and take the same path...

Should I be thinking about passenger side, then?
I'd hate to undo and re-route the driver side lighting across the truck to the passenger side just to avoid the exhaust but if that's what I need to do to be safe, I will.

How should I approach this? Should the truck be raised? Before I proceed, should I first move or remove anything to make this easier?
I didn't raise the truck or remove the driver side wheel. Maybe if I had, the solution would have presented itself. We were kind of rushed last night. Inside the wheel well there is a felt cover on the bottom. I popped one of the plastic retainer clips to take a closer look (and to possible run wires that way but I really don't think having wires inside the wheel well is a good idea. In fact, I think it is a pretty DUMB idea!

Anyway, that's my wiring noob problem. Any help, tips, guidance, etc. is most welcome. Thanks in advance, gang! Y'all are the greatest, hands down.

Run them along the frame by fuel wires and then come up at the fire wall

Okay, I'll take a closer look. Thanks!
And no heat wrap protection needed, then?

Thanks, man. All I needed was some daylight. It was all pretty straightforward from there.
    Much appreciated, bud.
