I'm a long time lurker but this is my first post. I'm an old retired Deadhead who tours around in the summer going to concerts and music festivals doing a little light vending but mostly just partying and hanging out.

I'm on my second Taco. First was a 2014 Base Double Cab that I loved, but I always had TRD envy and had an opportunity to pick up a 2018 OFF Road, so I pulled the trigger. Got all the bells and whistles pretty much and just really love the truck. What an upgrade!

I was reluctant to put money into my 2014 because I always knew it was gong to be a short lived romance, but I am now taking the plunge with the 2018. I just ordered the Leitner Designs ACS Rack, and am in the process of getting my hands on a Rhino Rack Batwing awning. (Did I mention that I go to a lot of music festivals and concerts, and that I am building a mobile base of operations for that, with some light 4X4 camping in my future as well).

Looking into RTT's and mobile kitchen stuff for truck camping/concerts.. and even an external sound system to rock out with after the shows. Currently speccing out marine speakers and a dual battery system to add to the truck for this purpose.

The Leitner should be here early this week and I'll probably have the batwing shortly after that, then I think I am going to have to bump up the leaf springs to deal with the added load of the rack, awning, and camp equipment. Any thoughts on this are welcome.

I love what I have been reading here. Everyone is very helpful. Once I start adding all the stuff to the truck I'll post pics and some action shots from tour this summer. Best Regards.

Thanks folks! Like I said I'll post some pics, especially this summer. We are going to some pretty awesome spots. Including The Gorge in Washington, which is just a stellar place to see a show. We will be starting out in Ohio and working our way west down through Oregon and Cali and finally back home to Colorado via New Mexico. Should be an epic summer.
