Before the Taco there was a 4runner. A 94 model with 52,000 on it, leather seats, manny tran and big tires. It was my grandfathers and it was my dream car! On a morning drive up to snowboard in Steven's Pass, WA I hit black ice and rolled it 5 times going 55mph. I am fortunate to have walked away with only glass in my hands. While trucks are only material posessions I do sometimes miss the good times had in it but it could have been worse

I almost became a subaru guy (nothing wrong with that but I'm not into satchels or IPAs so I passed, to each their own). Was able to find an 06 4X4 access cab 6-speed for sale at a sketchy russian dealership north of seattle and was set! had 54,000 on it and had never been wheeled or mudded

Now after moving to texas with nothing to do I got the mod bug!!!! Never thought I would go this route but all there is to do here is drive. Here is how she sits today

    Suspension
    OME 887 with heavy struts
    Dakar (medium pack) in back
    SPCA UCAs
Lift installed by @duggys in Houston,TX check'm out, knowledgeable and great service!

*A Note to others w/access cabs: was torn between the 886s or 887s and would in hindsight just have gone with the heavier 886, lost about 1/2 in up front but rides great. Figured after I add full skids and such I can upgrade than need be

    Armour
    ARB classic bull bar

    Recovery
    XRC 9500 synthetic line winch

    Tires/Wheels
    stock steelies w/265/75/16

    Other Mods
Diff Breather (literally done right before hurricane harvey, thank christ!)

    Future Mods
American Racing Baja wheels (want the 0-offset and cheap wheels!)
285/75/16s (looking to be more capable off road and fill some wheel well!)
Full skids (SOS makes great shit and doesnt require exhaust re-route)
    Rear bumper w/swingout

Got the platform halfway built. Went with a simple setup so that it can be removed if I need use of the rest of the bed.

Used 2, 2"x6"s to fit the notched crossmembers and 2 73"x28.5" 3/4 plywood to build the platform. Some cheap carpet was used to wrap the boards
