I have the Icon 2.5 ext travel coils and I absolutely love them, just order the icon aal and 2.5 series RR shocks. super excited for them, just having the front upgraded made the stock OR rear suspension very bouncy.

What did you do up front? I’m going on your advice for the rear and will order from DSM. Maybe you gave your front end set up and I missed it!

Did you guys keep or dump the overload springs on your AAL?

I removed the "Factory" recurve overload spring ( bottom) when using the Icon 1.5 " AAL 3 leaf spring setup.

Did any one add a 2.5 degree shim under the icon aal ? If so how wide of a shim did you use ? 2” or 2 1/2 wide

I have a 2018 Dbl cab with the 6’ bed which I recently installed Eibach Pro 2.0 in front and a Eibach rear with a 1.5 tapered block. Not a huge fan of the stiffer ride the block provides.

Would the 1.5 icon 3 pack provide a better ride? And would I need a tapered wedge for the drive shaft?

I'm not a big off-roader but I installed an ICON Stage 2 kit I also bought from Downsouth Motorsports several years ago. I was looking for the best ride possible and I think I got it. I certainly don't mind giving Downsouth Motorsports a plug also. For me, they've earned it. I bought Bilstein 5100's and an AAL from Downsouth for my 2007 Tacoma and they've always been good on prices and great to work with for hardware and information

I've put 60K trouble free miles on the lift/ride kit. I think the truck looks great and even my daughter agrees my Tacoma is a quiet and rides as nice as my wifes SRX. I'm not sure I'd go that far but I did put Dynamat everywhere the sun don't shine and it mat a huge difference, is a very good ride, and the back seat has a great deal more room and visibility than an SRX.

I am just beginning to notice the ride is not as smooth as it was. I'm going to reach out to Downsouth Motorsports again and buy four more shocks while I also send the set I have now back for a rebuild. It may be an expensive way to avoid the inconvenience of having shocks rebuilt but the shocks don't owe me anything and this truck is the most enjoyable vehicle I've bought to commute in and I'm "in it" for the long haul. So for my buck, it's worth it.
