    the raised roof caps are great for bikes.... one of my biggest gripes with my regular height cap was when I was using a front fork mount in the bed, in my case the regular height cap does not give enough space to clear the saddle with the raised seat post of a road bike. dropping the seat post every time is not a perfect option in my case nor is getting one of these drop posts.
