Admittedly, I am a long time fan of MSR. I have at least one of every stove they made up to the XGK. I have a Model 9 (1973 - The first MSR stove)

The Windboiler I refer too ... Jetboil complained about the name, so MSR changed the name to Windburner right away. Only a few Windboilers were sent out.
I bought 2 New In Box Windboilers, and another used. I am a collector.
The Reactor has to be the fastest stove I have ever seen. Speed is not of great interest to me, but....

An engineer at MSR said the Reactor can use a canister that Jetboil has used up. Something about the pressure reduction system (?).

How is the Jetboil in the wind? (I do not have a Jetboil.)

The jetboil basically has a built in windscreen so it's ok. Being able to put it behind a rock or something is best, but it'll work in the wind

My first stove was a Svea 123R that used coleman fuel of high test gasoline. Fond memories of getting that lit in 10 degree temps in the 70's. Now I have a Coleman 2 burner with piezo ignitor along with an MSR PocketRocket with a custom wind screen made out of aluminum flashing. Vented with 3/8" holes.

    I should clarify.
Use whatever stove you want to use. I am just expressing my opinion.
My fav camping stove is the Heinze Geniol Dieselkocher.

Look at the Kelly grand Mesa tents I have the Grand Mesa II and it has been on many adventures! It has even done a 10 day 67 mile trek in New Mexico... they are very well built and extremely affordable for a backpacking tent.

You guys aren't helping my bank account here. I've been looking at those for a couple years now.

My stove has angered me since I bought it. How's the adjustments for the flame on the Partner's? Able to truly simmer?

I've known about them for a while now and really love the construction. I figure you're one to really test something like this out.
