My wife and I had been saving/shopping for a new vehicle for a while. We were looking for something match our lifestyle a bit better. I have a 99 Jeep Wrangler but it gets such horrible mileage and you can't carry much in it that often it stayed home and we would end up taking an 02 Jetta TDI places it really shouldn't go. I am not sure how many belly pans I replaced on that thing.

With that in mind my wife really liked the Subaru Crosstrek. She test drove it a few times and was pretty sure that was the route we were going, but then we decided maybe we should look at trucks. We went to a Toyota dealer and the salesman put my wife in the driver's seat since she was worried about driving something bigger. I was sitting in the back while he explained how everything worked. 30 minutes later we returned to the dealership and apparently my wife lost her mind and we bought it the following weekend. My wife takes longer than than to decide on new clothing.

We ended up with a DCSB Inferno Tacoma SR5. I tried talking her into a TRD but apparently she hadn't quite lost her mind that much. So far it has been way more comfortable on any trip than the jeep and the mileage of around 20 doesn't compare with the jetta but it is much better than the 10 mpg of the jeep and since the Tacoma has a larger gas tank you don't have to stop at every gas station you come across.

I'm looking forward to following the threads, finding some interesting mods and following all things Tacoma.

Those are the only couple I have at the moment. As a bonus you can see the referenced jeep and jetta in the background.
