Hey guys, I’ve been debating internally on which direction to go. I’ve been eyeing the diamondback se tonneau cover for a while now, but the price has held me back. The opportunity has come up for me to get a softopper for $350 in great shape locally. So I ask, what are your thoughts and which direction would you go? What would you base your decision on?

Also this will be for my TRDOR DCSB.

Well since it seems like no one had an opinion on this, I went ahead and ordered the diamondback cover. I'm going to post a full review once it arrives.

Hey, I had the same dilemma and decided to get diamondback as well. Where did you order yours from? $$$$? I'm hoping to pull the trigger on diamondback before Christmas.

Dr. Mantis do you have a link to your review? I’m thinking about buying the same cover and i’d like to know your experiences with it so far.

Diamond SE cover is worth the price. It is durable since it is constructed with thick diamond plate aluminum.

I haven’t had a chance to review it, but I love it so far. Super solid, easy to use and looks great.

Oh yeah. No alterations were made except for the addition of some weather stripping.

Can you provide any feedback on how hot the cover and inside the bed gets in hot/sunny weather?

Hasn't gotten very hot here yet. I've got the black coating so I'm assuming the cover itself will get too hot to walk on barefoot. I'm hoping the inside doesn't get too hot. May take a month or more for me to find out.

My last truck had a hard cover and it didn't get overly hot inside. Hoping this one doesn't either.
Good luck with it. I'm enjoying mine. I've gotten several compliments on it so far.
