That's how I do it too!!! Havnt done it at night, but I'd imagine it's a little scary.

@Wju Have you ever four wheeled down to the nude beach, not lot to look at but can be tough getting to the end.

 

always funny how that happens, you would think there would be a few nice tits or something to look at.....always full of older people and hippies.......(not that I would really know.....ended up at one by accident...)

 

When you come out of high island hit the beach and go left. Have not made that trail in a long time, last time it was tough going and I was the only truck.

Finally! We are at it again! After a brief hiatus and a few lessons learned after new management takeover, Cars & Coffee is back and bigger than EVER! The Cars and Coffee new management team has secured an amazing location for the event to be held going forward! This comeback is not without its requests though. The Cars and Coffee team specifically sought out our group due to our consistent and overwhelming presence at previous shows. We were always the first and always had bacon! Our community of Tacos and Tacos grew into a much more inclusive gathering of all Toyotas and we routinely had more than 30 participants in our group alone.


Cars and Coffee show runners are requesting some assistance in helping with the ebb and flow of traffic and sorting out parking sections. This is a request for volunteers only and not required. What we are looking for and to provide is a group of maybe 5 (subject to change based on how it goes) rolling volunteers to help direct traffic in and out of the Lots.


For the C&C vets in here, the incoming and exiting traffic situations have always been interesting. Being that this is now at COTA with much better ingress and egress points, this will be much better. The goal is to roll people through so that everyone has time to assist, wander, and eat bacon!


For anyone new, this gathering is a community effort that we all pitch in to supply various items for our group to make our day more enjoyable and full of bacon. A list of common items is as follows:

There will be something following C&C for us. There may be a quick opportunity to play in the COTA Offroad section followed by a convoy to Bastrop Trails to do some offroading. Will fill in details as they are provided.

Seeking rear shock advise.
Thinking of switching to an Icon Coil Over setup and keeping my rear standard duty Dakar pack but adding the add a leaves.
The front obviously is adjustable from 0-2.5" (states actuall 2.75" max) for 3rd gens.
The standard Dakar's lift about 2" and the extra leaves should add from 1/2 - 5/8" to that making the rear sit right at 2.5".
Icon makes their 2.0 smooth body shocks (not wanting remote res) that are for 0-2.5" or for 2.5-3.5"
Which rear shock do you think I should use? Thanks in advance.

I’d go for the longer ones just in case your ever need it. I feel with the short ones down travel is compromised an may bust a seal, the long ones you run the risk of smashing the top an ripping brake lines unless you get extended lines. Also taller bump stops would alleviate that. Hope this helps in some fashion.
Also advise get 14in 700lb springs for the coilovers I lost some height with the weight.

 

That's kinda what my thoughts were as well, but I wanted to double check. Didn't mention at first but new lines and stops are in the plan already (good catch).

 

I had a dream that Chad placed me in charge on my region. I ruled with an iron fist and I got some fucking stickers and a magnetic koozie.

Sure thing I’m going thru a similar issue I got the bump stops looking at brake lines now.
