We use what we can and give away to friends and family. Also give quite a bit to a local food pantry that helps those in need. Gardening is something I enjoy and don't have the time to sell at farmer's markets. We can quite a bit of it to have for the winter as well. Garden spot is about 60'x40'.

It appears we have a soil problem around the cherry tree that was planted with the house. Its got a 2nd graft on it and up until this year it didnt produce fruit. This spring I put some fertilizer sticks in the ground and surprisingly this year the grafts have cherries! and the main part of the tree also has small cherries forming but many if not most are doubles/twins. Its really weird but I dont know if they are going to produce or not, the graft seems to be normal looking cherries hopefully they can last till maturity...

I have a multi-graft fruit salad tree that has a ton of peaches on it this year. It too had an unusual amount of twins. I thinned it and took most of them out but the few I didn't have now formed into separate fruit.

The leaves look like a mimosa but the seed pods look too fat.

The 4 year old multi-graft fruit salad is loaded with Alberta peaches and a few Babcock peaches. None of the other grafts have produced yet.

Last couple attempts in the garden have not gone well. Had some pretty obvious Nitrogen toxicity issues on the last "successful" round, so decided to try a different soil. Think the new stuff was even more potent, burned up 4 seedlings. 2 separate attempts of 2 each.

Started reading actual botany information. Going to stick to it. Spent a lot time of reading about soil first.

Got another one started this weekend. See what happens. All I can ever do.

This time, going with some regular ol' cheap potting soil from the local ACE. After learning/reading that a lot of botany labs place soil in an Autoclave to sterilize, I had no qualms about doing my own in home sterilization in the oven.

I guess I need to complete my garden fence. Deer wiped out the lettuce and broccoli last night. Bastards.

My father brought one back from his home town, and asked me if I could grow it here. It’s doing great having come from a similar environment.

We have a lemon tree. It's in a pot so we can take it inside in the winter. We get a few lemons a year on it.

Good find, but it’s missing the thorns. Although it could be one of the eight different species. I have one type, and my older brother has another type that has practically grown into a tree.

I was just curious if somehow it made its way.

That happened to me a couple years ago then I built little shelters with bird netting over the top. Now I'm dealing with the moles coming up from underneath to get all the worms I have in there, just pushed up some of my carrots and the cucumbers that just sprouted.
