I threw some quick fist mounts together today. Solid AF though. The result of truck bed Tetris. All packed for Moab. You sure none of you fockers wants to go?

I would go with option 1, sounds like they know how to fix the damage right.

I just installed some total chaos bed stiffeners. They definitely don’t reverse any spreading that has already occurred which is a bummer, but hopefully they will prevent it from getting worse!

 

Thats why i did mine

 

Mine fixed the bed, although I only had about 1/4 inch of spreading.

 

Mine wasn’t too bad beforehand either so I was hoping for them to pull the bed back together, but no such luck. Could be user error in the install process

 

I would bolt them to the bed sides then to the bottom. Not sure if that is different from what you've done.

 

I did it the exact opposite. Bolted to bottom first and then to the sides from the bottom up. My thought was that the bottom was still flat and working up the sides would close the gap a little bit at a time. Didn’t work lol

 

When I did mine I hooked ratchet straps to the bedsides and pulled them in before drilling and bolting. I fixed 90% of my spreading.

 

I'm not sure it would make a difference or not. Maybe take them off, use ratcheting straps on rail cleats to draw in the bed sides and then bolt the bed stiffeners down.

Now that the holes are drilled it’s probably too late I should’ve consulted with you guys first!

 

What's going on? Have you tried pulling them in before bolting it together?

@teamhypoxia @mountainmonkey maybe try ratchet straps and bring the bed in..? I dunno just a thought
