    appreciate any input here gang
just had my 20k Toyota care service done on my 2016 trd or sb ….only have 13241 miles on it.
they gave me the report all is good; BUT they say battery terminals a little corroded and wanted to sell me a treatment of some sort ? should that be warranty ?
but my big problem is REAR brake lining/pads are at 3/32 this don't sound normal, any input here appreciated thanks
    ps front pads at 11/32

My 2017 with less than 12k miles was measured at 5/32”. I was also concerned that the seemed to be wearing fast.

    Did you measure them yourself?

I had a 3rd party tell me something similar until I showed them myself. Less than a mm wear over the course of the year

    Edit: less than 8k miles/1year

My best guess is that it’s either not being measured correctly or their wear limits are incorrect. My plan is to wait and see how it changes over time.

Somebody is trying to tack on some quota parts

Measure them yourself, if you can. Pay a local shop some coke money to measure them for you, if you can’t. If their data confirms the dealer’s data, you might have an issue.

I brought my car to the dealership for some warranty work. the service manager said I have about 10k before I need new breaks which surprised me since the vehicle was only a year old at the time. I asked how much, he said 1200 for all 4. I said ok, bye. it's been 5 years since I've been there, put on another 30k and I still have plenty of pad life left. Have 4 pads and rotors that I bought thinking I needed to swap them out, just sitting and waiting to be put in. I think I still have about another 15k before I need to swap them out. I don't know how much I'd trust the dealer.
