I'm grateful today that Toyota builds such a safe truck. I was on my way home from a work dinner last night when I was cut off by a white Malibu. I swerved to avoid the collision; however, there was an embankment off the highway that I hit going 70 mph. Big thank you to Toyota for getting me home safe to my family.

Simple logic...dead customers are not repeat customers.

Being in the collision industry and looking at wrecked Toyota’s all day, I’ve always said, if you don’t love your toyota, you will after an accident.

Glad you are alright. Start shopping for an 18

Glad to hear you walked away from that. Did the white Malibu pull over?

You going to be getting another Tacoma or trying something new? I found it difficult to purchase the same exact car twice unless you really love it.

The Malibu just kept on going. I assume its totaled but have not received official word from State Farm. If so, I'll most likely get another Tacoma. The truck was only four months old so its going to have to be a massive bill to be a total loss.

    Sorry that happened.

That's totaled from the looks of it.

#1 go and see a doctor. Even if you don't feel anything now, better to be safe.

#2 invest in a dash cam - $100 investment can save you a lot of headache later

Any witnesses by the way that could identify that another vehicle caused the crash?

Not necessarily. If the damage is not safe to fix I believe that's also grounds for a total loss. I'm not sure how often that happens though

Glad to know you are ok, and that thankfully I know I’m well protected in my truck if anything should happen.
