My wife and I were in a bad wreck with a drunk driver and a third party. Long story short, the drunk driver walked away with no consequences, we needed to find medical treatment and a new vehicle. I bought the truck to get into off roading and learn how to make repairs/mods on my own. TW has already been a huge source of information and I’m excited to see what’s next!

I’ll be picking up a used suspension from @jlusmc on Saturday, but I’ve got to order the ECGS bushing and an AAL before I can install.

    Rear Differential Breather Relocate

Drop and remove your spare tire for extra room under the bed.

Locate and unscrew the existing oem breather (left side of the clan shell). Apply thread lock tape to the new union and insert to original location.
    05FB3EC2-7F39-44F4-8BB2-1B8451F3B51F.jpg 4A689F15-BD5D-4731-AD12-E36E34B1A366.jpg

With a few drops of kitchen detergent on the exterior of the union, slide a loose hose clip onto house and out of the way, and slide the hose over the union until it stops. Position the hose clamp just past the nipple on the union and crank it down.
    6A4F12B0-D92D-460F-B921-DCBA5D5C7B84.jpg

Run the remaining length of hose under the bed towards the driver side rear bed cubby, leaving slack for body flex. Zip tie portions to keep it in place.

Drill your hole in top back right corner of the cubby and feed the tube through (leaving some slack). I went ahead and cut the excess foot of material here, put a hose clamp on the hose, and fitted the breather into the hose. Once the hose clamp is in position and tighten, it will hold the tubing, so push the excess back under the bed.

I’ll edit this with parts and tools later, just wanted to start getting it together!

There’s going to be a lot of that around here. I’m using it mostly as a way to keep up with what I’ve done :p

It was hella hot and I forgot to take pics, but @Suprajim54 helped me get the lift on at the end of June. I disassembled the Nitrochargers from @jlusmc to replace the bushings for a fresh start before install and we got it all put back together on the truck. ECGS bushing was also done as a preventative measure.

We only had to redo one side because I forgot one washer

It was after I tried to scoot by with the Nitrochargers/888 and 1.5” Wheelers AAL that I realized I should have shelled out for UCAs in the first place.

I ordered SPC LR from 4 Wheel Parts and scheduled a proper alignment from Tandem. I didn’t open the box when I picked them up (rush delivery to the store) and they had only packed one ball joint for the set. Halfway through the install, Tandem let me know and had to get another ball joint ordered from the distribution in Coppell.

Everything was buttoned up at Tandem a few days later, but I spent a week trying to work with 4 Wheel Parts about their mistake and the money it cost me. They were rude and acted like it was entirely my fault. I didn’t realize it was up to me to supervise their order packing. I won’t be supporting them any longer. I don’t need that in my life.

Finally got some @Mobtown Offroad sliders and skids (transmission skid didn’t fit in the pic)! They’ve been on my spreadsheet for the future because they bring the beef. Stoked I got an affordable second hand set sooner than later.

It was a good day. They should be installed Saturday after I touch up paint the skids!
