Anybody in Colorado Springs happen to have some carriage bolt spacers/blocks/washers?

I need two for a hitch install (I already have 1/2 " carriage bolts).

I can't seem to locate them anywhere in town and ordering them is either in bulk or with an entire hitch install package... for way too much money.

Not trying to be argumentative here, but do people actually post "emergencies" in an online forum? As opposed to making a phone call to... Paramedics, Fire Fighters, Police, etc.?

All the time actually. People will post when they're stuck or broken down with no other options and TW members will come to the rescue.

Yes. There’s a number of threads where members have rescued other members that were stranded or broken down on a trail in the middle of nowhere. Think about it this way: if you’re on an off-road trail that required hour of wheeling to get to, chances are your standard ambulance or tow truck can’t get to you. A fellow off-roader might literally be your only lifeline.

If you search threads with “help” in the title some of them are actually good reads and show how much of a community Tacomaworld really is.

Understood. Meant no harm with the title.

Title was changed. No emergency here. Just frustration.

We occasionally have people that commit the same folly and post “help” threads for trivial matters. As you can see a few members will chime in immediately to request the title change. It clears the main page of confusion “crying wolf” so to speak. When a thread pops up with “help” in the title, it draws immediate attention and sometimes immediate action. This is a good thing in actual emergencies which is why we take it seriously.

Thank you for changing the title BTW. No harm, no foul.

This is good to know! Odds are though.. this guy won't have a signal when the ish hits the fan. Story of my life.

*cough* Apologies folks... back on topic.

If you happen to have a couple of these mythical, Unicorn-ish Carriage Bolt Blocks/Spacers/Washers... I would be willing to trade a sixxer of your favorite lager for them. I have been striking out everywhere I call. Hence the frustration.

    F* it.

I can just use hex bolts; right?

I'm not towing anything. I'm slapping a hitch mounted cargo carrier for my second job.

Anybody in Colorado Springs with a table saw or something similar would be willing to cut up a piece of plywood for me?

I can offer up a sixxer for your trouble.

Home Depot will cut wood for free if you've got one near you.

Even if I didn't buy the wood from them? I know Lowe's does that also.... but figured it would be wrong to bring in some scrap wood I found and ask them to cut it.

Ah, I doubt it then. Plus it'd be hard to leave the store without paying, proving that you didn't buy it from them.
