That is just freaking strange. I guess its possible that the hinge is just failing, and if so, I'd be willing to bet you could get the dealer to fix it for free.

Those look great! Have any pics of the light output? Also, how was the install and wiring? Were you able to use the factory mounts?

Here’s a photo of the output compared to my HID low beams.

Wiring was plug and play, in terms of install I’ll make another post covering that.

Nice! I have the TRD Pro Rigid Industries fogs with amber covers and those S2's look brighter. Thanks for the info and will be looking for the post with your install!

    Very nice.
Just ordered a V series myself this week. Seeing that pic makes me wonder if I shouldn't have coughed up the money for those side windows. I only opted for the roof rack rails, pet screens and fold down front slider. Hope mine ends up looking as good with the normal slider windows.

I had the same amber covers on my TRD Pro rigids too and these definitely out perform the Rigids.

The pattern is much nicer and lights up more of the sides of the road and ditch. There is no cutoff though so I do notice on some signs that span overhead on the highway I do get quite a bit of yellow reflecting off of them even at about 200ft out.

RCI sliders. These things fit top notch.

Yeah, all bolt on. The 2017 is missing 2 holes that are on the 2016 so those are optional if you’d like to drill them. Instructions say you can still lift from them without those holes though. Relatively easy install. I did it solo with no jack lol. They’re heavy though. Thanks!

Thanks. On my previous Tacoma I had a windoor on one side only and regretted not getting them on both sides. They are super functional but as far as aesthetics go I am sure your will be pleased with the way your truck looks.

My Camburg Kinetik series billet UCAs arrived today. The pieces are starting to align for my suspension overhaul. Today I received a notification from DSM that my Kings front coilovers shipped. So now I'm just waiting on the rears and leaf pack to ship. I also still have to order my new tires. Slowly, but surely, we're getting there and I'm super stoked.

Applied my Rim Vinyl stickers. Thanks to @PikestacoSister for a good product. You have to be a little OCD to put these on, but I got the hang of it after two stickers. I didn't need a heat gun as some suggested. The Florida sun was good enough apparently. I did stretch them as needed as I applied.

For a simple mod, these do change the look without hurting my wallet too much. I have to space out these mods. Would buy again.

Also, @PikestacoSister was patient and awesome with a shipping issue (Post Office's fault). Thanks again.

And because today was apparently "Wheel Day", I had to grease them up. I love Meguiar's Endurance Tire Gel. Good Stuff.

Oh yeah. I also got around to installing my AVS Aeroskin II Hood Protector. Scary install due to one chance to stick it on right. Definitely have two people and pre-fit. I don't know if anyone else had a better method, but would be curious to hear it.

    EDIT:
Also, note how my grille has chrome showing through. My plasti-dip job from months ago isn't holding up to the high-speed bug deaths that are rampant here in Florida. I'll be peeling it off and probably painting it like I did my badges. Argh, I need more time for my hobbies.

See now you went and did it. I have been trying to decide what sliders to get for the last couple months. You made my mind up to get the RCIs. Might as well I have the rest of their armor.

Haha. I was back and forth myself, but I just liked the shape of these. Plus, they had a group buy and their sliders are built standard with most others’ “upgrades”.
