Just got gas here and it was 2.69, gone up quite a bit. I get it at the grocery store HyVee they have a discount program. Hate it but every time I fill up get a discount. Not sure how much a gallon paid tonight but it said saved almost $10 so about 2.00 a gallon.

    Happy belated Birthday Bob!

Dang it, ONE of you guys was suppose to ask, "which wife?". There may be just a smidge of a difference between "wife's" and "wives'". :p

Troll fail, I am disappoint. :pout:

I realized the other day just how much things have changed the younger generations. I got a text from the only intern we have. Good kid, smart and an active duty Marine awaiting medical separation. He was hauling irrigation pipe with a F450 4x4 pulling a 24' gooseneck. He pulls into a field to unload the pipe and got stuck. Since I was off and home already I called a coworker and asked if he'd go lend a hand if he wasn't busy. He gets out there and sees something odd and asks "...did you lock in the hubs?" He said a huge question mark appeared over the young mans head, like " wtf are those"? Locked in the hubs and drove it right out.

This was after he had unhooked the trailer and drove back into his original tracks to re-hook. Notice how the front end isn't dug in? That's the odd thing that clued him in the hubs weren't locked.

I have some furniture my dad made - a buffet, round table, "toy" box / storage chest, tv cabinet, plus a couple of antiques from my grandparents. Boys don't care about them.... Guess it won't matter, since I won't be here. Just sad.....

In his defense, what all using locking hubs anymore (besides that truck)? Everything is click this, flip that :annoyed:

Oh, absolutely. He said he had an 97 Dodge (at one point in time) and it didn't have hubs either...he'd never had them before. Some things go by the wayside and they don't get taught. I was suprised when this new work truck I have now didn't come with them.

Yes, fuel injected motors don't normally have a choke. And carburetors are also becoming a thing of the past.

Locking hubs and a real t/case shifter is much more reliable !!!
