Duratracs have dinky sidewalls. This is the 3rd tire in a year to lose a sidewall, I drive the first gen and my friend drives the gold taco mostly everywhere I go and I've never had a sidewall issue or puncture on BFG AT KOs or my MTRs.

Got it back from the dealer where they approved the frame swap. Now just have to wait till it comes in and figure out if I want to do anything extra while they have it apart. Any smart recommendations and why?

    A thing or two...
He had the slip joint added in. Prerunners don't have a slip joint in the driveshaft like the 4x4 trucks. Our driveshaft mates with the transmission via a splined coupler that acts as a slip joint, but the amount of slip is very limited. On 4x4 trucks, the driveshaft is bolted to the output flange of the transfer case, so they have a slip joint after the carrier bearing to account for driveshaft length changes due to axle movement. On prerunners when you add a lot of rear lift or swap to SUA on a long travel setup, you have to add a slip joint, like on the 4x4 trucks, to handle the extra length in the driveline.

They did like 5 updates on mine when it was done. Rear springs, something in the steering column clutch master cyl and front springs. Paid nothing.

They covered springs at no charge to you? It came with a block in the back and a spacer in the front so it has some lift but been debating on changing it. Im a contractor and when I have stuff in the back in drops like crazy and bangs around. It has the replacement leaf pack which surprisingly sucks, or something does because I should be able to use it like a truck. Been thinking air bags but also considering other options. Have others had a similar experience as @Jckdnls? I have heard and fear that they are going to try and rake me over the coals in the end with a surprise amount due.
