Did you finish this up by chance? I have been sitting here for over an hour trying to view on my mac, then my windows. Finally got it to pull up in windows, just have a hard time understanding the breakdown. I see the sketchup. But do you have measurements of what your making here? This is kind of what I am looking for to make a storage pull out drawer system

Quick bed question, my 2017 bed has two threaded inserts in the bed rail behind the cab, any idea what kind of bolt fits there and how strong an attachment point this could be? Thanks for the dimensions, I’m strategizing a build for bike and gear transport.

Is that an EZ-lift or did you do something custom?
ezlift cost is $2000 on sale without topper.
I'm trying to achieve stand up head room. Anyone else tried this successfully?

Stand up headroom is going to be challenging. I think you would have to use longer linear actuators than EZ-lift uses to achieve that. I have not seen actuators that extend twice the length of their body. Since the stroke is only as long as the body, your truck box height is the limit without mounting them lower than the bed surface. I hope you followed my rambling. Linear actuators aren't cheap either, EZ-lift's system starts looking really cost effective for a complete system!

Yes, I followed you fine. I agree the actuators are not going to be able to accomplish the full lift I wanted as designed by EZ-lift. My thought was to create manually adjustable sleeved legs that could double the height of the actuators' lift. Also thought about customizing the topper so that the sides stayed attached to the bed rails and just the roof lifted. That could allow for taller actuators and thus a taller lift.

I think those Threaded Inserts are there for the Tonneu Cover, sure you could use it for a bike mount.

Never got started sadly, life got thrown into chaos in early 2017 and this project fell to the wayside. Things in my life are just starting to fall back into place but now there are some pretty decent cost effective camper options out there I don't know for sure if I'll ever pick it back up again.

It's currently $1200 right now without camper bits.

back to the bed dimensions of an access cab. .. if I can't get the sketchup file to extract.... can I get dimensions of the

wheel well locations front to back ______________ "

width of the tailgate opening __________________ "

    thanks

also: is C channel back of cab area?

if anyone needs access cab bed dimensions from the Toyota product information page 2018:

    bed length inside = 73.7"

bed width inside wheel wells = 41.5"

    bed width @ tailgate = 53.4"

    bed width @ 'C' channel = 56.7"

    bed height = 19.1"

I'm in the process of designing some bed rails for a 3rd gen but only have access to a 2nd gen at the moment (my truck). Anyone know the depth of the C channel on the 3rd gens in respect to the top of the side of the bed?

Because I suck at remembering this thread, and am lazy to remeasure, I pasted the dimensions onto the truck bed graphic.

Thank you for all of the bed dimensions. It helps a lot.

Pretty tight to fit stuff into those little truck beds.
