Unfortunately, I only have one 64bit laptop or I would load the software on to another PC and try it. Maybe someone will give this a try on a second laptop. Seems silly to tie it to a computer instead of the truck. Don't make me lug my desktop out to the garage...

 

Sent my ECU ID. Hoping to get this flashed tonight as I have a long drive tomorrow.

 

Will have files out in a few hours, heading out and won't have internet until arrival.

the software is locked to computer and truck, files are now fully encrypted + lock at various levels.

instructions will be further clarified and run through the cleaner. When my site is back online there will be a full FAQ sheet, resources, info, etc.

No more searching 900+ pages to find info.

You know... when you work on something non stop for nearly a year, many nights of lost sleep, 900+ pages of open development, tons of information posted, actual images of tables in the ECU and what's done... and some internet expert comes and lets you know it's all fake... yeah that's nice.

How old are you? 12?

Do I believe OV changed the map? Absolutely. For some that were bothered with the OEM map, I'm sure that helped. Do I believe he added a bit of power? Debatable. I think he changed the map so at certain RPM you are seeing a bit more power, this helps some of you with drivability issues, but overall? Maybe. It's a simple equation. Add more fuel and air, make sure you can light it and *poof* more power. Now, more power and more efficiency, at the same time? Nope, not unless he has installed some gimmick, like cylinder deactivation or stop start or a turbo or something. Or he lightened up the truck or reduced rolling resistance or drag.

Personally, i think he helped a few of you, and for that he has a real good product. For the vast majority of Tacoma owners, we don't care. We like our trucks. I swear the way you post you would think his product is the second coming of the internal combustion engine and he is a magician and you are getting a commission.
Grow up man.

 

efficiency is just a byproduct of correcting issues in the stock tune. Not a gimmick.

I do not even bother to try to prove this because I have undeniable evidence.

 

Quick question I have since I am possibly interested in this in the future.

If we get a new computer how will this tune work if it is locked to our old computer that is possible dead?

 

Shouldn't be any problem if you need it put on a new computer. The software is however forever locked to your name and truck. To clarify the reason it gets "locked" to the computer is because unlike the dongle version kits which can be easily used on a different pc, the dongle-less software can't be moved without registering again
