what did you torque to? mine haven't made any noise since install over a week ago. I torqued to ~35ft/lb and did use the metal washer on top like you did.

I just tightened with a small electric impact, I actually think I'm going to loosen everything up and re-torque it since I tightened it down while the truck was on jack stands and I have a theory that I'm not aligned correctly. My other theories are that the big washer on the bottom is making noise since it touches the metal surrounding and/or the washer on top is making noise.

It'll get fixed one way or another lol

Ordered universal kit (9.4101G), hopefully it will remedy popping/clanging sound. So, what's the verdict on a stock '15 TRD OR? Big on top or little on top? I'm confused. Bear with me, I'm learning how to Taco.

I just finished this today since I did rack bushings along with inner /outer tie rods yesterday. The rear cab mounts were cracked. Fronts seemed alright. I used the kit version for the rad support. Everything was installed as instructed. The truck feels more solid as a whole. The bushings have shy of 150k off my 2013.

I am experiencing a slight squeek now which I'm sure is over torqued bushings. I think I set at 50lbs. I am going to back them all off later this week.

Be careful with your abs harnesses. I pulled a wire out of my wheel speed sensor connector up above the coilover on the passenger side. All repaired now.

    Radiator supports were trash. D11640A6-652E-4C90-BC0A-E9475C0FE1C4.jpg 50941750-7A74-4F8D-B302-F34C6265D7FB.jpg 7FFEB308-F900-48C6-9119-BAA9C4703141.jpg BF0122EF-041C-443A-8820-3C0B589E03D8.jpg

Just ordered the 9.4101G universal mount for the radiator support in my 09. Planning on installing them with the larger bushing on top with the washer. I’m really hoping this setup will correct the roughly 1/4 inch “Taco Lean” I still have on my 5100 and OME 885 suspension with the 1/4 inch top plate...

I would not place the washer on top. I did at first, and it was very noisy (understandably so). The metal on metal action is what was causing it. Removed it and it was much quieter.

I read through all 60 pages of this thread yesterday and the general consensus was the larger bushing on top with the washer for integrity... and I didn’t see any complaints about noise. But it’s definitely a concern as I can’t stand rattles/squeaks of any kind in my truck. I just know the radiator bushings are shot because every time I hit a bump or pot hole the front of the truck feels harsh. I’m at just over 90k miles now.

The bushing won't fix your taco lean, all it will do if you make it longer than stock is pull your fender off your bumper.

Very common problem and it is simply from the flex of the chassis off road and the weight of the battery right above it...

Planned fix? Replace or weld? Or leave it alone?

    Yes
SOP to interrupt a crack is to drill a small hole at both ends of the crack and then weld it.

I completed this project a month ago. Fairly straightforward install except I did need to remove stock bumper.

    I ordered both
    Energy part numbers:
9.4101G (Radiator support cab mount bushings)
    8.4109G (Cab mount bushings)

But ended up not using the 9.4101G because it didn't fit the same and I don't currently have any extra weight over stock on the front end.
As the plate bumper and winch get added I can keep an eye on it.

The biggest difference I notice with replacing all the bushing is how firm the ride is. I feel every crack and vibration from the road which is now transferred to my seat! I decided to rescue the old stock cab bushings from the trash after one week just in case I want the smooth ride back. I wish there was a way to test vibrations in the cab to attached some real data to this.

Those that have swapped all bushings how is the ride?

HA Ha I knew someone would call me out. I have a stock 2013 DCLB. Needed four doors for the larger car seat. So I'm slowly planning my build.
