I am new here lets C if I can get thru. My passenger seat belt sign stays on & the air bag sign is also on. I just read that by disconnecting the battery cable may solve the problem. Let me give you some particlars. I usually drive with my 6'3" 250lb autistic non verbal grandson sitting in the back seat where I click the safety lock on him. He likes to swing back & forth. Well all week I had him sit in the front passenger seat cause I had the back seats full. He swung back & forth & I think that's what disturbed the sensors. Any ideas on how to correct this.

Stick your head under the seat, did the seat get unplugged from the sensor by chance??
If that gets unplugged it can cause that. Although its clipped together so hard to pop appart unintentionally but its an easy thing to check.

There is a weight sensor for the passenger seat. It’s meant to turn off the airbag if you have a small child in the front seat. Might have something to do with that.

easiest way to tell is to scan it, and see what codes come up. if u dont have a buddy or a mechanic shop that will do it for free, you can always go to autozone
