If you’re serious, that will require a ton of work, but it would be nice that it’s the center of the trail.

 

I've done manual labor my entire life. In all honesty I could reshape that entire hill by myself in 4-5 hours. With winches, able bodies and will power youd be amazed what's doable.

 

Pretty much agreed. I work for an underground utility. Shovel is lyfe.

 

I don’t doubt your enthusiasm, but I have driven up that hill and I know how much work it was to get up where we did. That center line is sandy soil and probably 12-15’ tall, and almost vertical.

 

Don't get me wrong, I understand that it will be a difficult climb. I don't doubt it to be hard work. But when by 11 a.m. in the morning you had moved 40,000 lbs of brick and masonry mortar by hand no amount of material seems daunting. I would start my day by moving 2 yards of sand into a cement mixer by 7:10 a.m. Granted, I don't do that work anymore but that drive to overcome physical adversity is always there. That being said I don't like doing work for no reason. I think the atv tracks would be the way to go if possible. Or your original line if still doable. I've watched those videos repeatedly. Hurts my trailer hitch every time.

 

You guys can do it. In all reality the soil there is pretty sandy so it’s pretty easy diggin unless you find some big rocks

 

Yea when you guys were winching the creek bed stone and I was widening the top to fit our trucks, I was slinging sand down to make the transition up easier but would come across large buried rocks making it a little more difficult.

 

I am finding every hard trail around me, and running that shit this summer. I needs to understand how my truck off roads now, cuz wow is it ever different.

If I wasn't working 9 days a week I could get everything done in like 3-4 days.

 

I hear that. I’m doing electrical shit and it just takes time. Plus figuring out how to mount everything on a flat bed has been a challenge.

 

Smells like you now need a tig welder....

 

Oh yeah. So far I have been winning with rivnuts.

 

Check this shit out. Might help. You can also get connectors to build racks/boxes/whatever you can think of. Also modular so you can re-adjust.

the forestry guys rebuilt the bridge on the bypass to avoid working on this washout lol don't know why tho, a few ours with the machinery they have and it would have been repaired. If all together you are able to roll back that piece of culvert in the washout then maybe you could build a ramp over it with trees rock and sand. With luck the creek in the bottom will dry out this summer and it willbe easier to cross. The worst will be going uphill since the sand wont hold under spinning tires. By taking the bypass we maybe lost 30mins, and that was rolling slow with loaded trailers.

 

So far so good.used expanded aluminum that I am able to put rivnuts in. Also have ltrack from us cargo.

 

Like any real "overland" group we must have a sticker, otherwise did we really do the trail?
