They’ve offered to source another one from the port, this one they went and got from a dealer in Alabama. Waiting on an ETA of a factory direct truck, and will weigh the options on waiting vs a further discount on this one.

what was agreed upon for transfer / transport? do you have it in writing?

I was chatted up by two old veterans last time I was over at the dealer, they drive transfers around, between dealers all over the place. good gig, I would do that when I am old and crusty. I assume this is commonplace

Sounds like a way better dealership than any in California

Doesn’t all dealers do that though when you want one from another dealership?

Transports can go either way...driven or trailered. For something like a $40k+ new vehicle, that mofo better be trailered. I wouldn’t want a brand new vehicle with a couple thousand miles on it.

Got mine from another dealership. They offered both. i wasn’t in a hurry for it so they trailered it. Maybe if I was in a hurry they would’ve drove it. They had more that was coming in so mine got out on that trailer.

I have ocd and love detailing cars. Clay bared the whole thing, waxed it, and sealed it, do it again in 6 months or so. Ordered full weather techs for it. Gotta call around about tint. I don’t trail my stuff, street queens that look good pulling my boat! Will prolly never be this clean again but il try to keep it looking new. Man it looks ballin!BBF2BC06-CF22-4081-8598-A39C8EC4D070.jpg

It's an in demand vehicle (why I have no idea) they will have no trouble selling with 300 miles on it for list price. My bet, they tell him to get bent. Buy it or they'll sell it to someone else. It's a Tacoma at a Toyota dealership. Not a 7 series at BMW. If it wasn't specified, they aren't at fault. If you want it with under a certain number of miles, specify that.

Either way, it's gonna be driven. Miles are gonna be put on it. It really doesn't matter if it starts at 300 or 3.

We share the same passion when it comes to detailing. I just clayed and waxed a dodge yesterday. Came out super slick!

if it is that big of a deal, ask for reimbursement at the gvt mileage rate, and have warranty extended to 36500 miles. done.
