Hey everyone newbie here in North Alabama, 07 Prerunner with a short bed on it. I’m really wanting some factory aluminum wheels but I was told my steel wheel sensor won’t interchange? Is this true? Any help or advice would be much appreciated thanks

Yes that's correct. If you want OE alliy wheels you have to get sensors for them, they aren't interchangeable. Welcome. :)

i took mine out. if you can look at a tire and tell its low you really dont need it. the only down side is that the tire light is always on but i dont care. i have been running no tpms for over 2 years now and i still dont regret it. to me its not worth spending all that money on the sensors, not to mention when the light does come on it doesnt even tell you which tire it is. if you really want the sensor buy it yourself, its so much cheaper, and have someone install and program it

Welcome to tw. Get the rims. Either get new sensors program them to your ecu. Or just have the light stay on

It might not work for the OEM wheels but most aftermarket wheels will allow the swap. I know my mickey Thompson classic III’s worked with tpms just fine with no issues.

Thanks guys. I would like to find some factory alloy pull offs or something like that but I’m not opposed to after market wheels either.
