I drank so much Bud Light at Wiggy Thump that I almost got tipsy. The choices were the typical; BL, ML, CL, Ultra, Shiner Bock. The latter was 12 oz., the others were 16, so my upper Midwest upbringing, (cheap), made me opt for the BL. Thank goodness I preloaded at the hotel with some tasty Lagunitas hipster ball sweat...

 

Do you remember where this brutal stretch of 25 miles was? So I can avoid it when I head up that way in a couple of weeks... I thought about doing the run for Utah in one sitting but that's some serious seat time. Gonna have to stop in NM to rest.

It's a portion of the AZBDR. So if you're following that, it's Forest Service Road 82, just north of Route 87.

I feel like there should be a merit badge for completing it. Why that road even exists is anyone's guess. Most of the time it's barely a road at all. More like a dry creek bed. Came across 3 adventure riders that running it also on their way to Expo. Those guys are tough but even they were taking it slow.
