Quick update, Front Bump stops are almost here. I have done all the testing I can for the 1st gen Tacoma/3rd gen 4runner bump stops. I am building a couple beta sets to to be shipped out to a few guys that I know can beat the hell out of them.

    Hi guys,

Sorry its been to long! I ended up making a V2 that is stronger and looks a little better.

My V1 was working very well. Guys are able to increase their speed significantly on the trail because the truck felt so much more planted without the hard contact of the bump stops.
Well, this in-turn led to much higher speeds and compression than I had initially designed the bump stops for and I had two guys break a set after several hard miles of 55mph+ on badly rutted roads with large whoops. Basically the shocks overheated after so much abuse and without the dampening action from the shocks my bump stop was taking all the load and ended up splitting the base of V1.

So! I made a V2 for the added abuse.

Here is a pic of my V1 (hex base) net to my V2 (round base)

This is a closer pic of V2. the notch in the casting should be facing the wheel during installation.

This picture shows the fit of the bump stop with the truck on the ground. I still have about 1-1/2" of clearance before my bump stops make contact. This allows for our shocks dampening to be uninhibited by the bump stop until the nitty-gritty end of the upstroke.

With the coil-over/shock pulled out and the full static weight of the truck compressing the front OEM bump stop. You can see how far the front OEM bump stop can compress and how my bump stop looks compressed.

Count me in. I won't be able to beat the hell out of them for testing purposes, but I'm interested in purchasing the final product.

I have some great guys that have offered to beat up my prototypes on the 2nd and 3rd gen Taco's thanks to @05tacomabro @DukesTaco @Luv my yota and im sure im forgeting a few guys. I will be shipping out the first beta round for the later model Tacoma's by next week.

Oh nice, do you have purchase information for a set for the first gen? I’d like to see the pricing to plan out when I’ll be buying. My stupid truck is eating up all of my money here lately. I assume PayPal would be the standard around here, but I’ve never purchased from a forum member before.

1st gen Taco bump stops (V2) are $60.00 plus shipping. Just shoot me a pm if your interested and I will give you my email for paypal payment. I am trying my best to keep sets ready to ship but its been up to 10 days before I can ship lately. Im ordering more and more material each time and the bumps seem to be flying out the door as fast as I make them.

I supply the mounting hardware and a cute little blue thread lock packet. Its a 10.9 12mm hex bolt that goes through the center of my bump stop. Each bump stop has a cast in place washer
