Roof rack for Kayak reccomendations?

05 double cab, I haven't bought a kayak yet. looking for a roof
rack, the kayak will probably be mounted on it 24/7 as I don't have another place to store it.

I've been scouring google for racks and there are quite a few out there. I was also thinking of a way to secure and lock some rods to the rack as well. my rods and gear are currently taking up my short bed space under my soft toneau cover.

There's a current group buy for Front Runner Racks. I was looking into these racks for the same reason as you but I'm not buying this year.

i have yakima with yakima j mounts on it, so far its worked for me pretty well.
