Also, how are the lights attached to the hood? Double sided tape?

    Shy Ronnie, speak up!

They may light up when I accelerate . . . not sure I'm not under there while driving. ;) I did consider that, but with them being LED, I'm not very concerned with it. I will likely play with the angle of the mercury switch so that they don't come on until the hood is almost all the way open. Right now, they come when half way open. I considered the hood pin switch, but a mercury switch is much easier to mount.

The lights are attached with good 3M double stick tape.

I just received my order of one of these flood lights, I'm going to see if one will be enough under the hood. If not, i'll be buying another one soon.

Anyway, I had a question. Where's the best place to buy a pin switch? Radio Shack, Auto Parts store, Wal Mart, Home Depot? lol I dont know.

Thanks guys. I'd pick up a pin switch or mercury switch off of ebay. Another option is to stop at a stereo shop and get one. They will have bins of them (used on car alarms).

1 light would likely be enough, but 2 is more my taste. A mercury switch is an electronic switch that makes or breaks the circuit when you tip it. Thus, you attach it to the underside of the hood so that the lights turn on when you open the hood (tip the switch).
