    It fits!

The seat folds back and latches no problem too. The speaker sits a little close to the lip of the bin, but I’ll probably either aim it towards the back of the cab, add a grill, or trim the lip.

If one were so inclined I’m pretty sure you could actually get 3 of these behind the seats... No music impressions yet, I was able to find and test fit this one at a local shop but I have a few more thinks to work out before I purchase.

These boxes are tiny btw, the box on the right is the Pioneer UD-SW250T for their shallow 10” (that also fits behind the passenger seat) and the left is the 8”.

I haven’t installed an amp yet, still piecing together my setup. It sounded good in the store, better than something so tiny should at least. Mostly I was listening to see if it got deep enough bass and I think it’ll fill in the lower end just fine. Don’t expect it to break any windows though.

That’s awesome. So you going to try and do 3 8’s? Let us know if it works!

I went with the Kicker hideaway. As everyone has said here it's not a thumper but does give you some bass reinforcement. Good bang for the buck - $125 on CL

This may have already been covered but I just wanted to warn others to definitely do more research than I did when picking a box and sub. I went with the Super Crew Sound single sub box for my 17 OR. When ordering the box, I selected the option of adding 5/8” more to the mounting depth. I also went with the JL 10W0v3 sub. After install, I ran into the problem of the sub actually tapping the back of the rear seat when I turn the bass up. This happened because the front of the sub protrudes so much when mounted. When picking a sub, all I did was look at the actual depth to make sure it wasn’t too deep for the box. Of course the 10W0v3 was not too deep but I didn’t pay any mind to how much the front of the sub would protrude over the box. Anyway, keep that in mind when customizing your own setup. I know Taco Tunes has turn key setups but I wanted my own. I do have a couple of ideas to fix this but it will have to wait until I get more time. Also this might not have been an issue if I would not have selected the option to make the box 5/8” deeper. Hope this helps someone.

I went with the pioneer set up that quite a few folks recommended and it worked like a champ and was a MASSIVE improvement. I can feel teh difference in bass and even though I wont be winning any competitions with this mini beast, it is still worth the upgrade. I also bought new Door speakers and are going to install them soon. I will post pics once complete!

Here's the sub I put in my son's Tacoma 2 years back. He's upgraded to a Rockford Fosgate 500w amp and it thumps pretty good.

    Sure Can!

One note though is I bought the amp on Ebay and it came with the Wiring Kit for around 65 Bucks! I will say though if you want higher quality on any component listed, spend it on the amp itself. Mine works great but gets pretty hot and one that handles the heat would be better overall. This one has a protected mode but again, you get what you pay for so if you find better quality for a few bucks more, go for it to save replacing later which I may do someday.

Youre 100% sure the 10” fits? That box looks so wide. Did you put it behind the seat on the other side like you did with the 8”?

I haven’t but another member here had put the 10” truck box (NOT the down firing box that’s more commonly found already loaded) in the storage bin with no issue.
