Hello all, new owner of a 2017 Tacoma that was lifted incorrectly. ie. Big red blocks with an RC on them.

I searched for a while to find a good recommendation but struck out.

So I hope that I can get some serious ideas of what to replace them with.
Right now I have a 6 inch Rough Country lift on it.

Thank you for your help and of course the hecklers are welcome also

This is just my opinion and it goes from cheapest to most expensive.

    Crap - block lifts
    Budget - Bilstein 5100s
Intermediate - bilstein 6200/Old man emu
Adjustable coilovers - old man emu bp51, entry level Fox/Icon 2.0 shocks
Higher end coilovers - Fox, Icon, King, ADS

The bilsteins will do fine with mild off roading like on forest service trails and some mild rock crawling. The higher end adjustables can do all that plus go through fast desert stuff with ease. They also have (sometimes optional) reservoirs to combat fade and optional adjustable clickers to play with dampening.

I have Icon stage 1s because I don't do any fast desert stuff but still wanted adjustable, rebuildable coilovers. If I could do it again I probably would have saved up a little more for ADS coilovers with compression clickers.

Only experience I had with rear springs was Alcan. Direct replacement once I worked out the lift details. Replaced the block and add a leaf and the height was spot on. Now the bad, they rusted horribly. The ONLY thing on my truck that had rust was the springs. Maybe some Deavers?

Sounds great, gonna have to start looking up availability.
I have really been thinking about ICON,
Just need to figure out what to remove and replace in the process. This is gonna turn into a project, I just know it lol
