You can use a tire calculator to check the diameter difference but off hand I think you should be ok. My 5100s set at zero, no rub. But Id say about 1 inch clearance.

    Yeah they would be 32.6"
So your 265/70/17? Mine would be 1" bigger. Then you have 1" of clearance? Your on 888? So you should be lifted 1" more then a 887. Sounds close

    Nope Im 887s.
Id run it buy a different thread. Maybe someone has the same set up. I know that wheel spacers, or different wheel offsets and a cab mount chop can all help if things get tight. 1 or all of those tricks could get you there

I have the 887s and wouldnt reccommend going any stiffer. With stock weight upfront anyways.
Also my alignment went good with stock UCA etc .

Yeah I've tossed it around. I actually think no one with a third gen has gone with this tire size

What are the 887, 888, 886 springs rated at?
Seems most at going with 888 with 5100 set at 0 preload and still getting 2-3” lift?

you should be good. I put a 1/4 inch spacer on top of that and like the height in the front

16 TRD dbl cab 4x4 with mobtown sliders about 120lbs and installing a new grill with Baja design 30" S8 led light in the grill and will be also adding an aluminum Insain fab front bumper with 30" S8 led light that weighs about 45 to 50 lbs. thinking of 5100's set at 0 with 887 coils and 3 leaf AAL keeping the factory overloads in netting 2" of rear lift and a claimed lift of 2 1/4" up front.
Was looking for 2 1/2 up front and wondered if the 888's would settle enough or should I go with the 887 and 1/4" spacers...?

I would think 887 with the spacer would be the same as 888s

Seems there's different results like some reporting over three inches but the chart shows 2 3/4" and some a little less.
If it truly is 2 3/4 and then settled a 1/4 it would then be perfect.
Just don't want to max out the lift and have no droop.
Want to retain a good ride and worrie free with low or no maintenance.
Any others with my truck and this setup..?

I have the 888 coils with a cbi hidden winch mount and smittybilt x20 winch and the ride is too stiff for my liking.

20180522_185715-01.jpg 20180529_175227.jpg Ok so I've read though this and have asked on other threads to get a pocket full of answers. Let me start out saying I have in mind getting the JBA UCAs but if I dont need to... I don't want to...lol. I'm wanting to be leveled out when loaded up. (RTT, camping gear, for family of three, recover gear, 10-15 gallon water tank, batwing awning, etc.) Not sure if that quite nets 600+lbs. It will be a weekend warrior/DD. So not sure what I'll need to carry while not on the road/trail to keep the ride decent. My measurements now are

    PF 20.5
    PR 21.25
    DF 20.25
    DR 21
I'd like to keep tire size to 265/75/16 only for the reason of eliminating power loss. No front mods at this time. I'm torn between the 887 and 888 because I'm not sure what rake I'll have when unloaded really dont want a stink bug look. My first thoughts were 887 and 5100 with HD Dakar but now after all of this maybe it would be better with the 888. Anyone else have a similar setup for overlanding?

If you aren't going to add any weight up front I would definitely go 887, 888 makes front end ride too high (tops out over speed bumps etc) and makes for a really stiff rough ride. Dakar springs are pretty nice but I just switched to Icon RXT leaf pack in configuration #2 and they ride a lot better and still carry decent weight.

Thanks I thought it might be too much with the 888s especially with weight in the back. What shocks are you running with the icon leaf pack? Icons or ?

Still running OME for shocks front and rear until I can afford to upgrade to King, Icon, or Bilstein 8100. I had 5100’s when I had an Xterra and liked them a lot though.
