Any idea what this connector controls?

So I'm looking at adding a compressor in the bed cubby and while looking for way to run the cable down to the frame from the battery then to run back to the bed; which, I could also take some suggestions on. I found this connector :frusty:
It's in front of the battery; I noticed that the 2 larger cables we're just completely disconnected. Wondering if anyone has any information on what circuit it's for? That will determine how quickly I'll be back to the stealership because I can't imagine it's suppose to be that way.

Not sure, but it doesn't look like there is anything on the other side of that connector either. Maybe it's only for that red wire and the others are just not being used? :notsure:

Mike, this is what it looks like on my 17 Ltd ufo hunter. Trip to the dealer? Hopefully you’re under warranty

Interesting that the limited doesn’t have two wires...

It’s a factory upgrade - ever since that TSB-W53.11XA, they started installing decoy wiring, looks like yours is working as intended.

Sorry, I don’t know WTF it is, mine looks just like that too.

It's EG1 connector, the red wire is for your starter solenoid. The other wire is not intended for use.

The black wire may have been intended for start stop tech like highlander.

Now everyone is running out to their trucks and checking.

    ...stuff
It’s for the blower in the hood scoop, ORs don’t have the scoop so you don’t need it.

It’s probably from an add on the dealer installed or removed on your truck. By the looks of it, removed before you bought it.
(Maybe someone was going to buy it with out the alarm, it was removed, then they backed out of sale, and alarm was added back in. Something along those lines.)

If it matters that much to you, follow it and see where it goes. Shouldn’t take more than 30 minutes to an hour to follow it

You work in Toyota service? You should’ve heard the service manager at the Chevy dealer when I brought my new S10 in. ;)

Or when I brought in my work Silverado with a windshield leak and the 4 hours after the vendor hadn’t shown up for a 9am appointment to replace the said windshield

I try to help around when I can, but I get frustrated when people think their trucks are falling apart.

But mine was legitimately falling apart!! :annoyed: But then it :bananadead:, so it’s ok now.

Alright, as long as there are others like it I'm fine but, when you are just poking around and see a full wire hanging out of the connector it doesn't give you a warm fuzzy feeling. So it looks like we are all set here.

Hopefully that is just a generalized statement because I was just trying to ask for comparison from other owners instead of just going straight to the dealer.

Did you rotate the pieces at all? I got mine to fit it's just a matter of getting everything hooked up properly; pressure switch will sit on the left side of the T fitting.

Dang, that looks tidy. I like the idea. I sup pose you know it's going to get wet in there (especially if ya live where I do). That pump looks pretty corrosion resistant?

Thanks, I was trying to make it look as clean and convenient as possible. Now it's just the matter of getting the wiring squared away; original plan was a just make it work plan but, now I'm trying to improve that before going through the install. You would be right that normally it does get wet in there; but, I developed and sell Cubby Caps that cover the slots and drain holes to significantly reduce how much crap gets into the cubbies. So I'll probably throw some gorilla tape over the drain holes on the cap and really up it's protection since the compressor and wiring will be in there.
