    Tow package
    Hi all,
Any suggestions for tires for towing. My Goodyear wranglers that were stock are wearing out at under 19K
I am planning on towing a small fiberglass RV with the Tacoma. There is a tow package on the vehicle. The 17' RV's dry weight is 2390 lbs and I think we probably will get it to 2600 or so with all our crap. And we'll most likely fill the back of the truck - with an ARE topper on it - with more stuff. Bicycles, water, Plein Air supplies (That is oil painting outside, I am an artist), camping stuff and dog stuff. I hope we don't get over 3K but its highly possible. I plan to empty all the water from the RV before getting on the road. Unless we are heading to a dry campsite.
I had a set of E rated Goodyear wranglers with Kevlar on a previous Taco and they were great and lasted a long time. But I got them from a tire store.
    Thanks everyone for your help!!!

I an wrestling with the same issue. My trailer is 3900 lbs dry though. I think an LT tire would be good but am hesitant about the extra weight compared to a P tire. I am leaning toward LT245/75/R16 and maybe new lighter wheels.

What I want is LT235/85R/16 but that adds even more weight and taller effective gearing, both of which will degrade towing ability.
