A set of Deavers. They do flex well.

I had a 4 wheel alignment completed yesterday. The numbers that were used are for an '82-'83 Toyota 4X4.
Below are the numbers I ended up with:
Wheel base - 105.5" on DS and 105.7 on PS
Caster - +3.4 on DS and +3.7 on PS. The .3 difference is built into the Diamond axle.
With everything now set, it truly hasn't driven this nice in 2.5 years.
Next step is to detail everything which I enjoy.

    Thanks for tuning in.

Very clean build, i like the modest size tire and lift, especially for a standard cab... very proportionate, though i am just building mine for 40's becsuse it is inevitable!

I took the truck out for a shake down in Pamo Valley, a bit North of Ramona. I wanted to see how it worked after I relocated the rear shocks and added an actual Viair 2.5 gallon air tank. This tank in addition to my driver side slider provide nearly 6 gallons of air. The spare now resides in the bed.
All worked well. In the following pics, there is 2" of shock remaining in the front and 4" in the rear. Stoked.

I have to ask. Why buy bypasses and run hydro bumps then mount the shocks like that? Completely defeats the purpose and benefit of running a shock that size in that location. Probably would get better performance/damping/ride with the shocks || vs /\

Well I couldn't pass up the great deal on the shocks and the bumps were installed when I had the OEM shock configuration.
The current configuration really rides well with the Deavers and also allowed me to set them up for 6" up/ 6" down travel.

... also, I don't have much bed space after relocating the spare to the bed and I'm definitely not cutting holes in the bed for the upper shock mounts.
When I test fit the 12" shocks in the OEM location, that left me with 1-3/4" of up travel.
I may look into a new set of leafs and remove the All-Pro shackles... dunno yet. I want more flex than I have now.

    More to follow.

I squeezed 12" fox shocks in the rear of mine without cutting and use all of the travel the shocks allowed with them angled back on chevy 63s. Just a suggestion and question was all as I know with them mounted inward looses a lot of the damping and allows for more body roll. Ill trade you some 12" fox 2.0s for them bypasses so I can outboard them on mine haha ;)

Where did you get 12” 2.0’s? I searched for those without luck.

The shocks I have now have HIEM’s at each end. Do yours?

Just ordered them from fox directly through a local guy. Yes with misalignment spacers and remote reservoirs but no clickers sadly. Only got those on the front. But think most retailers sell them.

    Man,
I bought these as I was unable to locate the Fox 12” 2.0’s... and, I’m near the Fox factory. Seems like you get the guy at the counter without a clue.
I do have a Bud-Built trac bar that is modified to fit the regular cab which may be limiting be articulation.
Will your shocks fit my application? Cost isn’t an issue which I’m taking it in the shorts fro what I paid for these. I’m glad to help others who help me. On the cross member I made, do you think there isn’t room to mount them?
I’m running out of room under the truck too. It was a special order in 2003 which the guy bailed on. The fuel tank is friggin’ large.
    Thanks.

... so I dicked around with the IFS steering box a couple years ago. Anyway, chasing and fixing issues were complete yet still had a bit of wander and slight steering gain.
I spoke to several guys @ SEMA and each came to the same conclusion that there are/ were issues with the box which leads to the purpose of the post:

I ordered a rebuilt box from Marlin Crawler. After a bit of a wait (out of stock), I received this beauty. I installed it last Saturday and it drives perfect. On Sunday, I re-routed my winch cables and PS cooler lines. They no longer exit the engine compartment into the wheel well area.
This eliminated approximately 12"-14" of each cable/ hose and looks nicer too.
Now to purchase the OEM splash guards and be over it.

    Thanks Dave.
They look stellar yet too small for my application.
I need to speak to him about a custom pair. Know how to get in touch with him?
