What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I just put a set in my bumper a couple of weeks ago and yes they work great

yeah its a wrap. almost 4 years old now. love it. it has saved my truck from a crap tone of scatches and dings

 

Changed out my wheel bearing and hun assembly. Everything went surprisingly smooth. No bolts seized up or anything. Only took me about an hour and a half from start to finish. Now it rides nice and quiet. I waited way to long to do it.

That's good for u-joints but the spline in the d-shaft really should have moly. BUT moly isn't good for u-joint needle bearings because it can cause them to slide instead of roll, like they were designed.

Pulled the trigger on 16x8 0 offset in gunmetal. Looked photos of various rigs w these wheels all morning and really like how the tire sits flush w the fender with the sidewall slightly poking.

 

Do you have any links to example pics of the various offsets?

 

I went through most of this thread including pm'n a couple members to get their side profile shots. 0 offset looks great, -10 looks more aggressive with 1/2in of the tire poking out of the fender. https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/from-concept-to-production-level-8-mk6.272759/

 

Will do! I bought these based the majority of great reviews on here and T4R. Saw that the early gens had some issues with the ball joints, but SPC has resolved that and 3rd gen UCAs have the zerk fittings. I'll most likely get around to installing them next weekend.

 

I just ordered the new new.

 

Couldn't sleep last night so I climbed outta bed around 3am to start installing my Wheeler's progressive AAL. Finished around 8am. Last summer I installed 5100's all around with toytec coils and the 1/4" spacer on the driver side. Left me with a bit of a lean that got REAALLY annoying when I added the canopy.

Overload was kept in and got just a little over 2" of lift from the AAL + TSB leafs. Gave me the factory rake look back, which I am very pleased with. Rides great so far!

 

Ordered a 2nd gen gasshole!! Go get yours now.

Nothing major but had my tail gate skin and metal end caps from mobtown offroad line xed today.

 

Going to do the same to my KBVoodoo tailgate cap.

 

Still broke, son in college so all my truck money goes to Austin, doing some cheap stuff to make her mine.

 

Finally got around to getting caught up with this knob trend. Next mod on the way is the gashole

 

I didn't read the thread but did someone point out that the squiggly part of the cap leash is to help hang it off door?
