The pack I’d recommend is the REI Trail 40. It’s a great pack for casual day hiking. I’ve had mine for a couple of months and a friend of mine just got his today. REI has their anniversary sale going on right now and it’s only about $80. Comes in two sizes which means it’s going to carry better than a “one size fits all” pack.

Good point. Some of the lenses on the a6000 may be too deep. My G7X has the filter adapter and also a 1/4" lens cap so it's right about 3/4" of extra depth and slides in nice. Any lens more than about 1" deep on top of the depth of the camera body may not fit in these pouches.

I picked up the new tarp today. There are some noticeable differences between the 1st generation and the 2nd. Color and packaging being the main differences. Not sure if I'll ever get the new tarp back in the package. Definitely looking forward to using the new one. Nobendium anyone? We'll see bout that.

Thanks for the tip. I Bought one too. The price was a motivator especially with the extra 20% discount. Need some sun protection for upcoming summer trips and this replaces my smaller Noah lost last yr.

Ha! I just received my Noah’s Tarp 12 from Amazon minutes ago. Dang! We must have all been reading the same threads Or something. :)

I’ve been very tempted to use the rei code on an arb fridge. It’s tough to pass up on a 50 qt for $739, but the 37 qt fits my needs so much better. I’m bummed that rei doesn’t carry that size anymore. Ah well. Another day.

That stuff isn't cheap from my research. Well not cheap enough. I'm on that hunt too. For now this darker tarp will cammo the truck enough.

I have the 9x9 Noah’s Tarp, but I haven’t really ever used it besides testing. I did not have success trying to set it up correctly haha.

Watch some YouTube vids. My first several tries with it were not successful either. Once I figured out how to use my vehicle as one mount point it started coming on every trip. It is very versatile. Niteize figure 9s help as do the thick rubber bungees with adjustable holes for the s-hooks like these:

When I had my Tacoma I was able to use some suction cups and mount two points to the vehicle.

I mean when using only the two poles and stakes. But, I’m sure watching videos and practicing would make it work.
