I was thinking of doing the same. 1big ass battery in the bed instead of running 2 Group 34’s. What’s the weight on one of those?

    So
I just heard about the poor fitment and the leaf tip interference with the internal gusset between the shackle ears (with Dakars, anyway). I've had a box of these on my shelf for a year waiting for install. Not sure if I will return to 4Xinnovations or modify (which I really have no time for).

Do you have the spec on the washer?

Do your leaf tips contact the gusset?

I actually don't have the specs of the washers. They are really extra UCA washers from my Icon control arms. They seem to be about 1/8" thick and circumference of the uca bushing. I had a hard time finding a washer big and thick enough to take up the gap on the shackles, which is why I used the UCA washer.
My leafs do not contact the gusset, but I have AllPro Expo springs.

Thanks. Well that's 50% of the solution. The other would be to cut off the offending tips of the Dakars. I'll have to experiment to see how much.

That's one of the reasons I bought the LCA's. I had the gussets but needed a reason to remove the stock LCA's. haha.

Haha, a $1500 solution. Did you get the pre bent ones, or unfinished?

I got the pre bent ones and they were pretty close. I could not get the rear mount gusset to fit. Maybe my frame is a variant from the one they fit on. I could tell where they were supposed to go because of the shape, but it was too far off to fit. At least the front gusseted is better than nothing.

Had to order shorter limit straps for the Dirt King lowers and redo the clevis mounts to get it all lined up straight again. The limit strap tabs were positioned differently on the new arms.

Don't mind my Pro Beagle jack in the background. Don't worry, truck is on jackstands.
