Kenwood DNX Series...questions

    Hey all,

    I've been meaning to upgrade my factory HU to a double-DIN in dash touchscreen unit, and I am hearing lots of good feedback for the Kenwood DNX series. I do have some questions about it, for those of you that own the unit.

    - From the videos I've seen, the user interface seems to crawl. I would really like a unit that runs very smoothly from a UI perspective -- is this really how the unit functions in real life?
    - I'm going to buy the unit as soon as I clear out my credit card, so price is no object. Is the DNX 9960 worth the extra $$$ though?
    - What are comparable alternatives to the Kenwood DNX series?

    Also, this is what I will be buying alongside the unit. Are these all necessary / a good deal? I want what all these offer.

    I just installed the DNX 6960 this weekend. Ipod, bluetooth, GPS, sound quality, all are great. HU gets two thumbs up. This was my first stereo install and it was not a problem at all. The hardest part was getting the clock/hazard light out of the OEM stereo.

    I got the same wiring harness and Ipod cable. I got the Metra dash kit instead of the Scosche (works ok, looks ok). I didn't get the steering wheel interface though, I'm rocking an 2007 so no steering wheel controls for me.
