It’s something like this . My guess is it’s just better quality but wasn’t sure if it was something that would it engine run more efficiently

Thanks Bro, that third bolt for the headlights was terribly difficult to get too . By far the hardest headlights I have had to change

Lol yep .. I was able to squeeze my body between the tire and wheel wells but still took a good 35 min since I only had my standard ratchet wrenches available I had to do it the old fashioned way

3 days later and I have condensation in my right head light . I did use silicone but accidentally bought flowable sili realized how stupid that was when it kept flowing off the light went back bought reg sili did the whole light again rushed it put them in prematurely so all That together probably caused this . Dread doing this again . I’m hoping a blow dryer will remove condensation . My question is will filling the light with water to find leak -leaks , cause any damage to the interior . Probably wrong thread for this but I’m sure this is common with aftermarket lights

Good to know. Thanks. That will probably be my next mod. My taco did pretty well in the mud this past weekend while camping. The auto LSD seemed to take good care of me haha. But I think anything crazier and I would have been stuck. Did you do the locker yourself or have someone install it for you?

I bought a complete 3rd from ECGS and then had my buddy up in Austin install it for me. Should only take a couple of hours to install if you have the complete third built already. Its mainly taking stuff apart like brake lines and brackets to be able to swap them out

    Let's play "pretend I'm stupid":
I have an '11 Sport. From reading it seems that taking the sway bar off is a common mod for this model. As I'm the fourth owner of my truck I've spent the last six months un-modding and re-modding it from the previous owners. So my question is, where is the sway bar and what does it look like? Is it supposed to be under the hood like on a sports car? On the rear axle?

Sway bar is the round bar with the flat portions on it in the two pics below that bolts up to the frame and connects the two spindles (steering knuckles) together

Here is a pic where it connects to the spindles and ties them together
    02EABDB2-C7FC-49C0-89BC-17A13C7079EE.jpg

Below is a pic where it bolts up to the frame
    01BAC11C-139A-4F89-9593-13CA506A2B90.jpg

Its on the front end on these trucks, not under the hood like on a sports car.

From my understanding, a sway bar for the backs of these trucks is also called a torsion bar, and those were not offered from the factory on prerunner and 4wd tacomas, only on the xrunner
