I tried to order rear shock absorbers from Camelback for my 1998 Limited and had a problem. Camelback lists separate part numbers for the right (48531-A9020) and the left (48541-A9010) rear shocks, so I called Camelback direct. During the discussion I asked for the manufacturer of the shock absorbers and I was told it was "Mark". When I mentioned "Bilstein" the lady said she recognized the name but the information she had told her the shock absorber was made by "Mark".

What I want are true Bilstein 4600 shock absorbers. The only part number I can find from my records of past purchases is B46-2286, same PN for the right and the left. Can somebody please help me figure this out?

I dont think the rear shocks matter you cant really mix them up. I would just go 4600 in the rear

Only reason i can see why there is 2 part numbers is maybe the left one is a litte stiffer to help with the added weight on that side

Not sure on the 98 but on 02-04 the left and rear are two different lengths, so 2 different part#s. I believe the driver side is just a tad longer.

Like sper said, order the 4600s online, skip the dealer.

Hmmmm. Okay. Checking my past 2 orders for rear shocks, I ordered, received, and installed two different part numbers, so I'll order the Bilstein part again from shockwarehouse.com.

For those who want to know, the current Bilstein part numbers are:

    24-184960 Rear Left
    24-184977 Rear Right
