I admit that I haven’t read the whole thread and I assumed I would have the product by 2-3 weeks. That’s on me for assuming. But yes I do run a small business with 17 employees and the biggest reason we succeed is bc of our customer service. I know things can come up and its all about how you adapt and please your customer. Sure there’s things you can’t control but it’s how you communicate and follow through that keeps you in business.

 

Just want to ensure you understand that you then have 16 more employees than OVTune boasts. Not everyone is aware that it's a one man operation. Simple FYI, nothing more

 

Again, I haven't been following this thread due to a loss of family. Any new update since 1.04? I flashed back to 1.03 and loved it! Well, besides the shitty shifting at turns.

Matt, keep up the good work!

 

If you’d read the whole thread you’d know that’s the one thing Matt’s been working on lately. He knows things haven’t gone as smoothly as customers or himself would like and has been working hard to make this much easier. It’ll get there but it doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time to grow, scale and become more efficient.

 

Hang in there Matt. There are far more people who appreciate your efforts and patiently wait for you to release when you feel the product is ready.

 

wow.....quit sending the dude money and things will change. I was, but will wait till the back log gets fixed. I got burned on a 7k turbo kit in the tuner days....It was the best kit, everyone said be patient, he kept accepting money and on and on..... Then he turned into Houdini. Its not wrong to wait and its not wrong to want what you paid for in a reasonable amount of time. I would bet there are 20 plus people reading this and choosing to wait....the cash is always the driving force....always..

 

Yea I understand and we started with 2. Mat has found a niche and hopefully he adapts with the demand well and becomes very successful.

 

From what I understand from a post made by Mat way back, he used to have a partner but things didn't work out and he's particular about who his partners are

 

Did anyone run into this problem when trying to flash the ecu? If so what was the fix

 

Did you try redownloading the file? And are you making sure to flash the ecu first?

 

@niko5055 yes I’ve redownloaded the file. This is what happens when trying to flash the ecu? Or am I missing something

 

I guess I should have said are you making sure that it’s the ecu not tcu file. Did you install drivers after downloading them?

 

Well shoot. I effed up bad then. I did my registry using a win XP laptop. Guess I gotta try to finish with that laptop once Tune files come available. Crossing fingers that it works like step 1 did. Dang it....

Once you are tuned and all is good you may feel kinda bad for acting like a crazy lady during Black Friday madness

Sounds like you should complain here https://www.toyota.com/support/contact-us instead of complaining to the guy who offers a fix. Explain to them you hate your purchase and see where that gets you. If there was no fix who would you complain to then?

 

The file your trying to flash was emailed from Mat and has .p5f extension right? If you try to load a .bin you will get that error.

Edit: nevermind, I just noticed the .p5f in the background.

 

#2795, 04B03, tuning files in my inbox when I woke up this morning. Now just need to develop an illness of some kind to justify staying home from work....
