Hello Tacoma family, I have a question I’m concerned about before I tackle an install.

I’ve replaced my 3rd gen dash tweeters with the Subaru Kicker tweeters.

I’ve ordered replacement front door speakers, the Kicker 6x9 3-ways in the popular $250 upgrade thread. 4ohm. I’m not doing the back doors for now.

I have an Alpine Power Pack. It’s able to output 90 watts by 2 at 4 ohms if it’s bridged, and that’s what is like to put in the front speakers.

Anyone know the ohm load on the setup I’m installing? I don’t want to overheat this little amp, but I’d love the 90 watts instead of 45. Thanks!

If you're asking if its okay/safe to bridge the amp to power your front speaker...Yes,it is.

Your speakers(the load) are 4ohm, regardless if you were to run the amp at 2ch or 4ch.

    Thanks, that’s what I’m asking.

I was worried since the door speaker doesn’t function without the tweeter installed that putting 2 after market speakers in their places caused a different ohm load.
